I started off the year quite well, with my viewings covering a variety of decades, countries and genres. However, as the year progressed, for various reasons, I started seeing a lot less films per month than I had in January and February. There wasn’t all that much variety in my viewings and I mostly watched films from this decade, and most of them were lacking. I ending up seeing 117 films from the 2000s, while the count for each of the other decades failed to surpass 30. I hope to not limit myself in such a way during 2009. I want to maintain the passion for exploring the medium that started off the last year all through this one.
